What a chilly morning! I was the first one up (Susan, Vickie, Janice and Rosalie were waiting on the alarm), so I got a cup of tea and some danish, until everyone else was ready to start the day. I remained remarkably calm as I showered and worked on my make-up. Then Janice began the dreaded task---giving me WEDDING HAIR! Amazingly, it began to take form, and with help from all the Brooklyn Girls (as they were know by the North Carolinians), I was ready to take my vows! But first, a few pictures....of The Sisters, and Susan and me. Corey was the cutest Ring Bearer ever, but I'll never forget the look on my Aunt Dottie's face when she told me, just before the ceremony, "Corey fell down-he has dirt all over his Khakis..." And I just looked at her, and laughed, and said, "Well, good, then I guess he's having a good time!" Boy was I having a good mental health day or what?! My Two Dads-no it's not just a sitcom! (Look at those handsome guys!). And of course the sequel-My Two Dads and my Mom Dad, Eileen and Ileen, without whom I never would have moved to NC, and never would have met John... Then it was the ladies' turn-Me , Sue, mom, Grandma (spoon for those of you who get it!), Aunt Lorraine, and Aunt Dottie. I remember walking up the stairs just before the ceremony began and thinking "hey, I didn't hear a polk! So I called down to Paul the piano player, "Hey, didja play my polka yet?" His reply-"Roll out the Barrell, we'll have a barrel of fun..." And last but certainly not least, my non-cake wedding cake, made from the wedding favors made by Sue and crew, with a real wedding cake topper...
